Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Ledgerly, a personal bookkeeping app for individuals, freelancers, and side-business owners.

The service

Ledgerly helps you record accounts, categories, transactions, and budgets, import transactions from CSV, and optionally categorize transactions with an AI suggestion feature. Ledgerly is provided as-is and is intended for personal and small side-business bookkeeping. It is not a certified accounting system and does not provide tax or legal advice.

Account responsibility

• You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful activity.
• Attempt to access another user's data.
• Reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the service.
• Use the service to store data you are not authorized to hold.

Subscriptions and billing

Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store using Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple processes the payment and handles billing. We do not collect or process card numbers, and we do not integrate Stripe.

Refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple's refund policy and processes. Please use Apple's refund request flow for any refund.

Subscription validation uses the Apple App Store Server API. We store subscription status and related identifiers as described in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

The service is provided without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any specific purpose. AI categorization suggestions are suggestions only and may be incorrect; you are responsible for confirming them before they are saved.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time and may request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or use the service unlawfully. Termination does not relieve you of obligations already incurred.
